The story behind this design
The reference point for this one is a mid-century dress fabric, not a contemporary botanical, so the blossoms are drawn small, repeated tightly, and allowed to overlap. Pink does the flowering while green carries the stems and leaves at a lower contrast, which is what gives the print its faded, inherited quality. Nothing in the layout points up or down, so the comforter reads the same either way round.
