The story behind this design
Faceted animal art usually falls apart at the head, where the planes get too small to read, so here the faceting is kept coarse on the bodies and finer only around the eyes and beak. The three creatures are sized against one another rather than to scale, which lets a hummingbird hold its own beside a deer. On the darker colorways the pale facets do the work of an outline, which is why Ash, Black and Graphite Heather were chosen rather than a white shirt.
