Navy on pale is the most confident version of this lattice, and that confidence is the point: the pattern is meant to be the one thing a plain room needs. Because the contrast is so high the lobes are drawn slightly wider than on the light blue version, which stops the dark line dominating the gaps. Nothing else in the design competes with it.
