About This Item
The DipaliZ Retro Pastel Striped Bento Box is a compact lunch container with a wooden lid, listed in one size. The print is an original stripe pattern in soft retro pastels, running across the body of the box. The wooden lid is the feature that sets this range apart from the PLA bento boxes, and it is also the reason the box is hand wash only. It suits a desk lunch, a school lunch or a packed picnic.

The story behind this design
Stripes get their character from the widths, not the colors, so this pattern varies the bands deliberately: wide, narrow, narrow, wide, in a rhythm borrowed from mid-century deck chairs. The pastels are muted rather than sugary, which lets the wooden lid sit above them without clashing. It is the gentlest of the three striped boxes in the range.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What size is the DipaliZ retro pastel striped bento box?
A: It is listed in one size.
Q: Does it have a wooden lid?
A: Yes. The box has a wooden lid over the container, which is what makes it a different blank from the PLA bento boxes.
Q: How should it be washed?
A: Hand wash only. A wooden lid should not go through a dishwasher.
Q: How does this differ from the other DipaliZ striped bento boxes?
A: All three share the same wooden-lid bento box. This one carries soft pastel stripes; the others carry purple stripes and a navy and yellow diagonal pattern.
Care
Hand wash in warm soapy water and dry the wooden lid fully before putting it back on the box. Do not submerge the lid for long periods and do not put it in a dishwasher.
