About This Item
This DipaliZ notepad is a letter-size paper pad with a watercolor border of cassettes, cars and rockets. The pad carries 50 sheets and a magnetic backing for mounting on metal. The retro objects are painted in loose washes rather than drawn in hard outline. The notepad suits anyone who wants eighties nostalgia in a softer, more painterly register.

The story behind this design
Painting a cassette in watercolor changes what it means: the hard plastic edges go soft and the object reads as a memory. Washes of teal, rust and dusty coral bleed slightly into one another, leaving the paper visible through the lighter passages. It is the same decade as a neon poster, remembered in the morning rather than shouted at night.
Frequently asked questions
Q: How many sheets are in the DipaliZ retro watercolor notepad?
A: The DipaliZ retro watercolor notepad has 50 sheets.
Q: Is there a magnet on the back?
A: Yes. The pad has a magnetic backing, so it holds to a fridge, filing cabinet or magnetic whiteboard.
Q: What objects appear in the border?
A: The border carries cassettes, cars and rockets painted in loose watercolor washes.
Q: How is this different from the other DipaliZ retro notepads?
A: This pad is painted in soft watercolor washes; the Retro Cassette pad uses flat block color with heavy outlines, and the 80s Space and Music pad is drawn in bright neon.
Care
Keep the notepad dry and store it flat so the sheets stay crisp. Tear sheets from the top edge rather than pulling from the side. The magnetic backing wipes clean with a dry cloth.
