About This Item
The DipaliZ Tropical Floral Picnic Blanket is an outdoor blanket measuring 61 inches by 51 inches, with a fleece top surface and a waterproof backing. The print is an original tropical floral, with broad leaves and open blooms worked large enough to read when the blanket is spread out. The blanket is listed in one size and folds for carrying. The waterproof underside is what lets it go down on damp grass or wet sand.

The story behind this design
A blanket is one of the few things DipaliZ prints that is looked at from directly above, which changes how a pattern has to be built: there is no top or bottom edge to compose against. This tropical floral is drawn to work from any side, with leaf masses spread evenly and no single focal bloom to orient the eye. Spread on grass the greens sit close to the ground color, so the flowers do the carrying.
