The story behind this design
The slippers hang by their ribbons rather than standing neatly, which is how they actually look on the back of a studio door, and the ribbon loops carry most of the movement in the drawing. Peonies and small five-petal blooms fill in behind them in rose, cream and a single stroke of dusty green. Nothing is centered exactly, so the cover keeps the slightly untidy feel of a dance bag.
