The story behind this design
The peacock is drawn in profile with its tail spread wide rather than trailing, which fills the width of the linen and gives the bird an almost heraldic symmetry. Teal and bronze carry the plumage, and the eye-spots are picked out individually instead of being suggested as texture. Linen's slightly uneven weave softens those edges, so the whole thing reads closer to an embroidered panel than to a printed graphic.
