About This Item
The DipaliZ Flowers placemat is a single cotton placemat measuring 18 by 14 inches. The mat is printed with a painted flowers design and the fabric is 100% cotton, so it wipes down and washes rather than needing to be replaced. It is sold singly rather than in a set, which makes it straightforward to build a table up one setting at a time or to replace one mat that has taken a spill. This placemat suits kitchen tables, desks and anywhere a hot cup lands often.

The story behind this design
The flowers are painted rather than drawn — the petals carry visible brush edges and the colour pools slightly at the centres, the way gouache does on paper. They are arranged loosely across the mat with plenty of pale ground left between them, so a plate set down in the middle does not cover the design. The mood is soft and domestic, closer to a hand-painted tile than to a printed table linen.
