The story behind this design
The pattern is made of illustrated circles at three different scales, dropped onto a warm yellow ground so that the rings read as sunlit rather than graphic. Nothing in the repeat lines up on a grid, which stops the wide leg from looking like upholstery when the fabric moves. The palette stays inside yellow, cream and a soft ochre outline, with no second accent color anywhere in the artwork.
