The story behind this design
Small birds are drawn here in flat, simplified shapes and arranged in a loose repeat, so the pattern reads as a flock rather than a single portrait. The palette stays in warm neutrals against the natural grain of the wood, which keeps the geometry calm instead of busy. The mood is quiet and a little folk-art, the sort of pattern that makes a packed lunch feel deliberate.
