The story behind this design
Bleeding hearts hang in a row along an arching stem, each bloom a small pink heart with a pale drop falling from its point. The artwork keeps the background quiet so the repeated heart shape carries the composition, and the pinks run from deep rose at the top of each flower to almost white at the tip. It is a botanical study that happens to be shaped like a love token, which is what makes it read as tender rather than merely pretty.
