The story behind this design
Frangipani has five thick petals that overlap in a slight spiral, and this painting takes its time over that structure — each flower is turned a little differently so no two repeat. Cream and butter yellow carry the blooms, with the foliage held back in a deep green that reads almost as shadow. On matte canvas the waxy petal surface comes through without any shine competing.
