The story behind this design
The drawing came out of watching penguins stand shoulder to shoulder against the cold, each one slightly out of step with the next. DipaliZ kept the palette narrow so the black, white and beak-orange of the birds carry the whole image. The mood is warm and a little comic rather than documentary.
