About This Item
This DipaliZ magnet is a square porcelain tile with a magnet mounted on the back. The tile measures 2 by 2 inches and carries a flowers design with a glossy finish. Porcelain gives the print a depth and a sheen that a printed steel or vinyl magnet cannot. It holds on a refrigerator door, a filing cabinet or any other magnetic surface.

The story behind this design
At two inches square there is room for one idea, so the drawing is a tight crop of flower heads rather than a whole stem or a scene. The glossy porcelain glaze deepens the color the way a ceramic tile does, which is why the palette was kept simple: too many tones and the shine starts to compete with the drawing. The crop runs right to the edge on all four sides.
