The story behind this design
Adding eggplants changes the palette of the DipaliZ kitchen series: deep purple against red and green gives the composition a third weight that the tomato-and-basil pieces do not have. The vegetables are drawn whole rather than sliced, which keeps the piece about the market rather than the recipe. Rosemary sits at the edges as a green punctuation.
